It sure seems that technology is not keeping up with the scaling issues we are facing.

"And it's ever present everywhere" - van morrison
This is the KonaCurrents blog with thoughts on what I call a "3rd Generation Network Centric Paradigm Shift", what I believe is a required change in the way computer scientists design systems to keep up with the massive scale and complexity challenges of the 21st century. In Hawaii, Kona winds are opposite from the normal tradewinds, but also nicer weather. I believe KonaCurrents is a needed contrast to currently non-scalable programming models as we enter this next century.
The tattoo image surrounding Kona Currents starts with the 4 waving lines representing the 4 directions of the compass. The word Currents are in aqua blue like the beautiful waters, especially off Lanikai, Oahu. The bottom triangle images represent the Shark, Mano, who is the Navigator. This completes the navigation thought the complexities of next generation semantic information challenges.
